Cut Copy completists! A few weeks back, the most zeitgeist-y tropical dance troupe in Australia unveiled the first in a series of Krozm directed videos detailing the recording of their third studio album – which we now know as Zonoscope. First clip didn’t give too much away, but in part two we’ve got feedback laden guitar takes, tea drinking, cigarette smoking, monkey noises, programmed beats and a peek at the band’s cavernous Melbourne based HQ.
Explains Dan Whitford: “It’s made a big difference having a space that’s removed from other people we know, lots of other music we know, without distractions or feeling self-conscious about making lots of noise and weird ideas and weird sounds and things like that. It’s kind of what we’ve found in this weird warehouse space here.”
