Two bits of Australian CocoRosie news today. First up, a national tour has just been announced with the endearingly enigmatic Casady sisters, Bianca “Coco” and Sierra “Rosie”, playing two shows in Melbourne and Sydney. The latter is at the fucking Opera House! Details below…

Second is this seriously haunting music video for the duo’s Grey Oceans standout “Gallows” directed by AFI nominated filmmaker Emma Freeman who has also filmed a yet to be released movie in collaboration with the band. Shot in location in Melbourne, the Australian influence extends to the wardrobe (Gail Sorronda and Romance Was Born clothing is used throughout) and the cinematography, provided by Melbourne based photographer Mia Mala McDonald who, incidentally, is also Freeman’s partner.
Freeman also directed CocoRosie’s “Lemonade” video, released earlier this year.
