In an interview with Pedestrian, SEO friendly Glaswegians Chvrches have confirmed a return trip to Australia as part of next year’s Laneway lineup.
“We’re only doing two dates now,” lead vocalist/keyboardist Lauren Mayberry told Pedestrian.TV earlier today. “We have friends who live in different parts of Australia so it will be great to see the country and visit them while on a national festival”.
“We’re especially excited about Auckland and Singapore,” said keyboardist/vocalist Martin Doherty. “Those are two places that you don’t just go. That’s not an average holiday location and New Zealand is pretty much the furthest country in the world from Scotland.”
Organisers hinted strongly at the news via Twitter on Wednesday.
Chvrches peform tonight in Sydney at the Oxford Art Factory.
