Brisbane’s Biggest Street Party Is Back

Is it the literal act of partying in the street that gives the Street Party its appeal? Flipping the bird to public consumption of alcohol legislation, bouncing on cordoned off bitumen playing fields, being one impromptu punch away from a motherfucking riot?!
Yep.

Pouring the good times back into the streets our forefathers paved (or, in this instance, the Brisbane City Council) is pretty much a good-times guarantee where people can get in touch with the basest human needs and emotions (ecstasy; and horniness; respectively). Those romantic street party ideals are the major appeal of events like the Valley Fiesta, Brisbane’s annual street party held in the Fortitude Valley precinct. This year it’ll host a swag of great musical acts over the weekend from 10 – 12 September as well as arts, fashion and food elements. Food elements? Yeah food elements. Sounds promising!
