Brisbane’s Nine Lives Gallery is closing its doors indefinitely after one final show, opening tonight.
In the four year’s it has been up and running, Nine Lives has cemented itself as an essential art space for contemporary, low brow and street-style working artists to ever grace the streets of Fortitude Valley. In fact, it wasn’t just Brisbane’s young, contemporary art scene that was nurtured by the Nine Lives crew, but also the growing independent gallery culture around Australia – for which they provided ongoing support through every channel available.
