Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon Designs Cat-Friendly Shoe

Just in time for the season to retreat into log cabins and pen lo-fi albums about heartbreak, Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon has collaborated with LA-based footwear company Keep to design a shoe that could at best be described as ‘fitting‘, but might otherwise be described as ‘questionable‘.

With herringbone accents, a fishbone silhouette imprint and salmon colouring, the Keep + Bon Iver shoe supports the Best Friends Animal Society for abandoned and abused animals – hence all the feline affection – and is now available for pre-order or in select stores as of October.

Vernon joins Lost in the World pal Kanye West, aspiring haute mess designer of the fashuns and the footwear, who recently unveiled his second Nike Air x Yeezy shoe (which are currently fetching $90,000 on eBay) . Finger’s crossed you don’t read this headline any time soon: Justin Vernon Shows At Paris Fashion Week, Universally Panned By Critics , because we all remember what happened last time one of these guys attempted a full-blown fashion cross-over. Exactly what I just said.
