Urban Decay Fires Up Intense Speculation About Its New ‘Naked’ Perfume

If you’re into beauty products to the level of, say, casually scrolling the r/MakeupAddiction Reddit feed every once in a while – you’re most likely across Urban Decay‘s Naked range. Just in case you’re reading this and you’re all “wtf is that”, I’ll give you the Cliff’s Notes. It all started with the absolutely iconic Naked palette #1 – an eye palette that actually had entirely usable shades that blended like a dream.

Three more Naked palettes dropped over the next couple of years, each just as perfect as the last. They became a collector’s item – and then Urban Decay just kept going with the beauty goodness, dropping blushes, the perfect no-makeup makeup foundation, lip glosses… the range is now huge, an expansive love-fest for glowy, barely-there natural makeup. Aka the numero uno beauty trend doing the rounds atm.
Until now, perfume was not something Urban Decay was about. A makeup brand through and through, they’ve played in the fragrance space before – but never with much hype. That’s absolutely about to change though, because the next instalment in the Naked franchise? A perfume oil – one that’s already getting rave reviews even though barely anyone has their hands on it.

Not much in known about the bound-to-sell-out scent as yet. The pics doing the rounds are via beauty blogger Instagram accounts, although Cosmopolitan US claim a release from the brand describes it as a citrus/floral scent with Italian bergamot, mandarin and lemon top notes, an orange blossom/neroli middle with a lavender and jasmine base.

The fragrance is currently limited edition and there’s no word yet on if/when it’ll drop into Mecca stores in Oz – but it’s slated for a June 3 release in the US, so hopefully soon? Please, makeup gods?
