Cara Delevingne Whips Out Her ‘Lady Garden’ To Campaign For A+ Cause

Cara Delevingne. What a woman.
Many a brushy brow was raised recently when Delevingne posed in nothing but a hoodie with a single sunflower perched between her thighs, covering her Randy Jackson
Yep, that’s the nickname she’s given her private bits.

The shoot and subsequent cover are all part of this year’s instalment of the ‘Lady Garden campaign, a Gynaecological Cancer Fund initiative that aims to raise awareness about early detection of gynaecological cancers.
Cara says she first got involved with GCF when her sister Chloe had “a bit of a scare” with pre-cancerous cell.
“I’m just so happy that I can be a spokeswomen and really help women to feel free to talk about their bodies and to talk about these kinds of problems,” said Cara. “And I love lady gardens.”

Research suggests one in three women between 16 and 35 are too embarrassed to go to the doc about gynaecological issues – so for such an influential figure to use her standing to promote the campaign is a class act.
Cara’s sisters got a guernsey in the below BTS vid too, with Chloe and Poppy announcing their giney nicknames are “My Noo Noo” and “Poon Tang Clan”, respectively:
(It should be noted – as fun, cheeky and important as the campaign is, the assumption that ownership of a vagina equates to being a ‘lady’ is clunky at best, and exclusionary to trans folk at worst.)
On the whole, it’s a nice little reminder to go get your Randy checked, if you’ve got one.
The hoodie Cara’s rocking, as well as ‘joggers’ designed by Simeon Farrar are now selling at Topshop in the UK, with 30% of each sale going to GCF.
