Here’s how to celebrity name drop 101:
First, don’t do it.
Second, if you are going to do it, at least have actually met the celeb in question.
Third, if points 1 and 2 are unavailable to you, try and ensure the celeb is not SITTING RIGHT BEHIND YOU.
Which brings us to Cara Delevingne and the case of the unknown female pretending to be hanging out with her, Kendall, Gigi, and other famous people she is definitely not first name basis with, or in fact, any name basis with.
Now in pretty much two seconds flat, a fight broke out in her Instagram comments between the ‘Um, Cara, RUDE, how dare you‘ faction, and the ‘Um it was OBVIOUSLY a joke‘ side.
“I hope this was a joke because that’s actually so rude to post and I love cara :):”“It’s a joke you don’t all think Cara would be such a bitch to one of her fans??”
“It’s not a joke……. It’s obvious.”
“It could simply be a joke, tell her friend she’s hanging w/ them idk maybe she was kidding and not lying.”
And that is a sample selection of over TWO THOUSAND COMMENTS.
The war raged for many minutes (about 47 to be precise) before Cara Delevingne decided enough was enough and a bit of clarification was in order:
If you guys saw a person you had never met texting someone that they were hanging out with you, you would do the same thing
