Ubisoft Teased A New ‘Far Cry’ Game Set In A Post-Apocalyptic Hope County

Ubisoft has released a teaser trailer for a new Far Cry game which looks to be set in a post-apocalyptic version of Far Cry 5‘s Hope County.

The teaser opens with a shot of what looks like the familiar landscape of Montana being decimated by a nuclear bomb, which, if you’ve played the previous title, you’ll know is a pretty strong hint that the two are connected. We then hear that folks are starting to emerge from whatever shelter they had to rain down some Fallout-esque mayhem on whoever or whatever remains.

The company has made it pretty clear that this isn’t just DLC, but a full standalone game, however, it’ll likely take the form of a spinoff sequel kinda like Far Cry Primal, which is set in a prehistoric period.

Take a look at the teaser for yourself below.

Hows that wild sawblade crossbow? Heads are literally going to roll.

Ubisoft is expected to reveal more details at The Game Awards tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled for that. According to the teaser, the new Far Cry title will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but there’s no release date just yet.

I’m going to call this Fallout x Far Cry hybrid, Far Out, until it’s given a proper title.
