Fortnite‘s marketing team have really been stepping their game recently, with a whole heap of iconic objects from the game showing up in the real world. And not just in one place, either, they’re fucking everywhere.
It all started a few days ago when the game’s Durr Burger showed up in the middle of the Californian desert, complete with a bloke posing as some kind of hazard investigator. Those who showed up at the site were handed a business card that reads ‘Agent #3678’ and has the phone number ‘712-380-4091’ which, when called, plays the Fortnite sound effect for when something gets sucked into the rift.
What…. is this… I’m in the middle of the desert why is this here??? pic.twitter.com/oTMiGc0Wno

Absolutely wild stuff. If you’re not into the game, a global event happened recently where a rocket was launched, making weird tears throughout the world. Epic Games is gearing up to launch its Season 5 content which will somehow relate to what’s going on here. There’s plenty of theories about what it will include, but most centre around a new map warping in through whatever those tears are.
Today, Epic Games is continuing to break the fourth wall, with Loot Llamas showing up all over Europe and the UK in cities like London, Barcelona, and Warsaw.

As you can imagine, folks everywhere are losing their damn minds over the stunt.
Not going to lie. This is legit. How long can they keep upping their game?

Every company needs to take note. It Doesn’t matter if they are a game developing company or not every business can benefit from seeing what’s been done here to interact with the audience/consumer.

You can probably expect more shit to pop up before Season 5 kicks off next week, so keep an eye out. Not gonna lie, it would be pretty sweet if something showed up here in Australia.
