‘MAFS’ Tracey Actually Left Dean & The Internet Is Losing It

Okay, so hopefully all Aus time zones have witnessed what just happened on Married At First Sight where tumultuous couple Dean and Tracey have actually called it quits during their final commitment ceremony. Well, Dean confessed his love and insecurities and Tracey reached into his chest and crushed his heart. Twitter’s currently losing it a little (a lot).

It all happened after some wise self-reflection and much confusion and Tracey asking her signed photograph of Oprah for help. Then after weeks of back and forths and defining the term ’emotional cheating’, the couple are over.

If you’ve already watched the episode you know what just happened but for those who didn’t – I give you the part of Tracey’s speech and the transcription below.

“But you quickly put me out of my romantic fantasy when you betrayed me. It was then I found out that love isn’t all sparks and butterflies. I’ve also surprised myself so much throughout this experiment, for staying and defending you and us and kicking you to the curb. Thanks to the trauma, I’ve learnt what love really is and could be. It’s pain, it’s sleepless nights, it’s standing before you as a woman who has understood you and your BS – stuck with you through all your mistakes. I feel like you have met your match in me. This experiment has reminded me that when I love a person I must not forget to take care of myself too, that I trust too easily. This experiment has shaken me awake and helped me see what I’m worth and unfortunately Dean, you don’t deserve me.

I’m so sorry Dean but I have too many doubts to trust you. I want to believe you’ve truly changed and with so much murky water under the bridge between us I just can’t continue this relationship with you.”

Dean drops his cue-cards and steps away for a moment, extremely smashed to smithereens.

Tracey took to her Instagram to confirm the news.

Now here’s Twitter being a SAVAGE.

And the other couple?

Charlene exclaims “Let’s do this” to Patrick and they do a slow-mo run down the beach together (not really).

Here’s the snippet before the happy ending, the music is intennsseeee.

“My strength has always left you scared and not always yourself. I know I am a strong, loud woman so for me it’s really important to be with someone that can meet my strength. It was this side of our relationship that I felt we both struggled with and as a result left a hole on the physical side of our relationship. Standing here at the end of the experiment, I’ve been questioning how our worlds work together and where we’re heading. Well parts of our personality are very similar, our life styles are complete opposites. Patrick, I came into this experiment wanting to meet someone, a lifetime partner, my forever love. The question is, is that person you?”

And as we all found out, Patrick is apparently it. People are happy  but also slightly confused.

Up next: Sarah and Telv, Troy and Ash, and Mel and John.
