Ezra Miller Dressing Up As Toadette At Comic-Con Is Such A Big Mood

The San Diego Comic-Con’s a big deal for reasons too many. The trailers, the news, the actors, writers, directors – there’s just so much happening. This week we’ve seen snippets of the entire cast of Brooklyn Nine-Ninethe incredible trailer for Glass by M. Night Shyamalan, and the next trailer for Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald.

Usually the actors, directors or whoever’s hiting Comic-Con look either cool or suave or both. Sometimes, they spice things up like when Taika Waititi rocked up in a two piece pineapple shorts and shirt set and pulled it off.

So earlier today, the brilliant Ezra Miller decided to do the Fantastic Beasts panel wearing a Toadette costume and honestly, it was amazing.

The garter, the vest, the gown – such a look.

Chatting to SYFY Miller explained his costume:

“It’s Toadette from the Nintendo universe, a fantastic beast of that world. As Nintendo has announced, Toad species are genderless beings, they’re not mushrooms even though it’s understandable by what people thought they were. I understand why people thought that even in this room.”

Shadeee.

Tag yourself, I’m Jude Law hating himself for wearing a summerish suit.

Legitimate comment though, that mushroom-but-not-mushroom hat looks really heavy.

The toad species are actually genderless as confirmed by Nintendo in an interview with Gamespot back in 2014.

Anywhoo, Miller’s character in Fantastic Beast Credence Barebone returns in this highly-anticipated sequel picking up right where the first left off.

In as little words as possible Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) has now been captured by MACUSA but of course he escapes custody so Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), asked by a young Dumbledore (Jude Law), goes forth to stop him as he tries to raise an army of ~ pure-blooded ~ wizards who’ll take over non-magical folk.

You can catch the trailer, below:

November 16, mates.

P.S Waititi in the pineapple outfit is a Pop! doll now and it’s everything I’ve ever wanted.

Happy Sunday!
