WATCH: Wes Anderson’s Stop-Motion ‘Isle Of Dogs’ Cops Delightful AF Trailer

There’s a lot of people in the world who adore the shit out of auteur Wes Anderson and his kooky, twee filmic creations AND there’s a lot of people in the world who love dogs, because… well… dogs.

Smack bang in the centre of this Venn diagram is Anderson’s forthcoming new movie The Isle Of Dogs which today copped its first official trailer, showcasing his return to stop-motion animation, his first since 2009‘s Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Set in a futuristic Japan where the break out of a flu epidemic is blamed on the overpopulation of sweet precious poochies, forcing the government to quarantine all the dogs to a place called Trash Island.

Enter yr hero Atari Kobayashi who hijacks a plane and flies to the island in an attempt to find his lost best friend doggo and ends up being aided by a gang of canines voiced by Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Bill Murray & Jeff Goldblum aka my literal dream Daddy squad.

Elsewhere in the cast you can expect to hear the voices of Scarlett Johansson, Tilda Swinton, Greta Gerwig, Frances McDormand, Harvey Keitel, Liev Schreiber, F. Murray Abraham, and Yoko freakin’ Ono!

Go and and have a geez at the trailer below and start looking for a tartan two-piece to wear to the premiere when the movie arrives March 23rd, 2018.
