WATCH: Supportive Daddy DJ Khaled Explains Who ‘They’ Are On Ellen

There is but one king of Snapchat, and his name is DJ Khaled.

Through the medium of self-destructing photos, his support and unconditional love and motivation is beamed to you on the reg. “They don’t want you to win,” he says, and you, your chest-swelling a little bigger and a clearness in your eyes, slam the morning tequila. He’s the supportive dad you never had, and you deserve this.

If, by some GRIEVOUS ERROR, you don’t know what we’re talking about, add ‘DJ Khaled’ asap on Snapchat and watch today’s story. We’ll wait.

As we are now all aware of, DJ Khaled’s snaps are something else. They regularly feature nothing but his walking feet and soothing tones narrating his journey. Often, he talks about ‘they’. ‘They’ don’t want you to win, ‘they’ don’t want you to know, ‘they’ don’t want you to jet ski. ‘They’ are total assholes.

But ‘they’ are also a mystery. Ellen DeGeneres, naturally, had questions, so took the only sensible course of action and invited DJ Khaled on her show. His first TV interview, btw. Old mate would be chuffed.

When she asked who ‘they’ were, he said: “Please stay away from them, Ellen,” shaking his head.

Ellen pressed on, regardless: “But I want to know who to stay away from.”
And so, acquiescing her, he explained: “‘They’ is the person that told you you wouldn’t have the Ellen show. ‘They’ are the people that don’t believe in you, that say you won’t succeed. We stay away from ‘they’.”

My god.

‘They’ are the ones who literally did not want you to win.

The answer was right in front of us the entire time.
