Movie scientists have clearly learned nothing from Prometheus, in the sense that, if you discover a suspicious-looking alien life form and you just blindly start poking it and playing with it to see what happens, you’re going to have a bad time.
This is pretty much exactly what transpires in the trailer for Life, the new space thriller starring Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal, from Safe House director Daniel Espinosa.
They play members of a six-person crew on a mission to search for life on Mars, before – spoiler alert – they discover that life on Mars is actually fucked and scary and they probably should have stayed at home. Enjoy:
