It’s unsurprising that Warner Bros has been milking the hell out of the Conjuring series – the two main films were bloody great and raked in shitloads of cash. The first Annabelle movie – based on the spooky doll from The Conjuring – wasn’t that great, but the trailer for Annabelle: Creation looks very promising indeed.
Directed by David F. Sandberg, who was behind the pretty great Lights Out, Annabelle: Creation is the origin story for the possessed doll. Starring two Aussies – Miranda Otto and Anthony LaPaglia – the trailer for this one looks like it’s dealt with a lot of the problems of the first one.
Prepare yourself for a million jump scares, obviously. The movie’s landing in August.
