Last time we checked, Halloween was originally intended as some kind of pagan harvest festival, but we’re all so far removed from that arcane tradition that we’re better off just starting our own.
Fortunately, Jimmy Kimmel is in the same mindset, and he’s spent the past six years founding one of this spooky season’s modern touchstones: his infamous(ly cruel) Halloween lolly prank.
The premise is simple: parents sit their young ones down, tell ’em their sugary Trick or Treat bounty has been devoured, and film the result.
Most of the time, the kids in question just get emotionally #rekt, but there are always a few kiddos with enough equanimity to make you question your own selfish leanings.
