It seems like Marvel have somehow found a way to spread their superhero content across every conceivable genre of television entertainment. Absolutely no genre or style of television is safe from Marvel popping up and shoving superheroes into it.
The latest example of that is interesting, though – and it comes locked and loaded with the backing of the creators of Gossip Girl. The first full trailer for the Marvel Hulu show Runaways is here, and it looks like… well, a teen drama featuring superpowers.

Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the brains behind Gossip Girl, are the creators behind Runaways, which concerns a group of teenagers realising that their parents are part of a supervillain crime squad called the Pride. In the comic the series is adapted from, the Pride control Los Angeles while all the rest of the cool Marvel shit seems to happen in New York.
Now here’s the bad news: there’s no word on whether Runaways will be streaming anywhere in Australia at this point. Stay tuned.
