How does our new Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull feel about onions? We don’t know. Nobody knows. To the best of our knowledge, no one has yet thought to ask Mal B to quantify his feelings for the common onion.
What we do know, however, is that our former PM Tony Abbott repeatedly ate whole onions on-camera and his fateful mouthful captured the hearts and minds of a nation.
And so, we took to the streets to see how willing Aussies would be to neck an onion.
