Far out, she moves fast. Fresh off a quick little jaunt to make our shores that much brighter, Amy Poehler skipped back across to New York for a surprise drop in visit to her old writing boss/SNL castmate/Weekend Update co-anchor Seth Meyers on today’s episode of his Late Night show. And while they were there, they did a little digging in an old familiar well.
Bringing back one of their more popular Update bits in “Really!?!” the pair took aim at some widely panned comments made by Sports Illustrated contributor Andy Benoit about the supposed “watchability” of women’s sports, drawing particular attention to an absolute screamer of a goal scored in the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup (GO MATILDAS!).
Without any sense of hyperbole we say that Amy Poehler is the greatest person on the planet and we love her more than our own parents/partners/pets/pals.
