A New True Crime Podcast Will Look At The Death Of Hollywood Star Natalie Wood

While the globe’s obsession with true crime podcasts has primarily been based around little-known cold cases and serial killers, there are plenty of mysterious crimes to be explored in Hollywood history, and it’s kind of strange how there aren’t many people touching on these IMO.

Sure, You Must Remember This does a great job of looking at general Hollywood history from the Golden Age, and Disgraceland looks at crimes in the music industry, but full-on series’ on Hollywood crimes? Not common.

Fatal Voyage: The Mysterious Death Of Natalie Wood is here to change that. It’s a 12-part series that will investigate the death of film star Natalie Wood, who drowned in 1981 on Thanksgiving weekend while yachting with her husband Robert Wagner and their friend Christopher Walken. Yup, THE Christopher Walken.

The first episode doesn’t hold punches – according to Us Weekly, it features an interview with homicide detective for Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Ralph Hernandez, revealing that bruises found on Natalie were consistent with her being the “victim of assault”.

The podcast is hosted by investigative journalist Dylan Howard, and will also feature never-before heard interviews with the actor.

“Did Natalie jump? Did she slip? Was she unconscious before going overboard? Or was she pushed? And if so – by whom? And why?,” Howard told Us Weekly. “It’s a hell of a story. Forbidden affairs. Twisted lies. And murder.”

The podcast launches on July 20 – the day Natalie would have celebrated her 80th birthday.
