To Nobody’s Surprise, Adam Sandler Dominates The Worst Movies Of 2015 List

We’ve already sat down to think long and hard about the best moviesTV shows and other assorted moments in pop culture from the year just gone, but what about the worst? The flops and failures that will slink away to be forgotten, or live on forever in infamy?
Thankfully, the good people at Metacritic have been keeping track of everything all year long, and have just compiled their list of the Worst Movies Of 2015, as voted by the people who sat through them – the critics.
In order to be eligible for the list, each of these films needed seven professional reviews, although it seems that having Adam Sandler in the lead was also a pretty reliable way to qualify.
Sandler’s name shows up twice on the list, with his critically-despised Netflix western The Ridiculous 6 coming in at number 6, and comedy-fantasy The Cobbler taking the number 10 spot.
The most-despised movie of the year was United Passions, the FIFA-produced puff piece about global soccer chief Sepp Blatter, which is the first film in a decade to snag a Metascore of just 1%, and which grossed just $607 in the U.S.
Other high-profile stars on the list include Nicolas Cage, for his horror film Pay The Ghost, Bruce Willis, for the thriller Vice, and Katherine Heigl, who starred alongside Patrick Wilson in something called Home Sweet Hell.
Interestingly, the list also features Accidental Love, which was directed by Silver Linings Playbook‘s David O. Russell but never finished, and was later cut together and released without his input or blessing
You can check out the full hall of shame below, and then head on over to Metacritic to read the reviews, if any of these spark your curiosity:
