Tina Fey’s Netflix Original, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” Drops Its First Trailer

Ellie Kemper ups her always-a-bridesmaid role in Netflix’s upcoming release, the mouthful-of-a-title, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”.

While going beyond having Tina Fey’s seal of approval (Fey executive produces and writes alongside 30 Rock’s Robert Carlock), if we do have to go to there, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” looks like the series thirsty 30 Rock nerds have been hanging out for, if only for the always welcome presence of the flawless Jane Krakowski.

The show springs from Kemper’s title character’s release from a doomsday cult, and following her new-found life in New York City. It looks and feels similar to Will Ferrell’s Elf, in a way, and that is something we can most definitely get on board with.

“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” will be released on US Netflix on March 6; whether we’ll be treated to its release when Australian Netflix arrives is yet to be confirmed. Would watch, tho.
