It’s pretty impossible for a Hollywood romance featuring both Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum to fail, even if it does read like a whole lot of other movies.
The Vow teams McAdams, who made millions of girls cry their eyes out in The Notebook with Tatum, who has crafted a career doing pretty much the same thing for a completely unique love story about a woman who suffers from amnesia after a car accident having only just married the dude of her dreams (TM). Now he has to make her fall in love with him all over again. How annoying is that?
The film is already slated for release next Valentine’s Day, which some would call inspired and others tragic. If you’ve forgotten who your boyfriend is, this should give you enough time to remember him and make him book you tickets to see this in Gold Class where they will probably give you tissues on the house. Alternatively, you can go and rent 50 First Dates on DVD right now, which is pretty much exactly the same thing but, you know, funny.
