Netflix has finally dropped the trailer for Marvel‘s The Punisher season two and it is violent.

Honestly, the trailer pretty much opens with Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) doing the Joker‘s pencil trick/ John Wick‘s fave move on an unlucky bloke but with a bloody huge knife.
In season two, Castle returns to beat the shit out of some dickheads at a bar after they try to attack a young woman named Amy Bendix (Giorgia Whigham). Curious as to why a bunch of blokes are coming after one woman, Castle decides to suss things out. Meanwhile, shit’s about to hit the fan because ol’ mate Billy Russo (Ben Barnes), otherwise now sorta known as Jigsaw, is back with a vengeance… and an entire army.
“I dreamed about the Punisher every night. He thinks that he has the right to judge me,” Russo says in the trailer. “I want him to feel what I felt.” …which is extraordinary pain.
Oh, not to mention there’s also the villainous John Pilgrim (Josh Stewart) who also wants to see the vigilante suffer.
Unsurprisingly, Castle cops an absolute beating in this trailer so prepare yourselves.

Despite not making an appearance in the trailer, Deborah Ann Woll – Karen Page – will return in season two. Joining her is Amber Rose Revah as Homeland Security agent Dinah Madani and Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle.
Marvel’s The Punisher season two hits Netflix, January 18.
