WATCH: Bill Skarsgård Has Been Honing His ‘IT’ Creepiness Since Childhood

IT is a spooky-ass movie with more jump scares in it than a haunted trampoline. The 2017 adaptation of the Stephen King skin-crawler just about perfectly found their dude in Bill Skarsgård to play the intensely scary role of Pennywise the Dancing Clown.

‘Course any role like this takes a certain type of actor with a certain disposition, but even still the question lingers: How on earth do you actually prepare for a role like that?

As it turns out for dear old Bill, it’s a role he was (almost literally) born to play.

Appearing on Conan earlier today, Skarsgård explained how the genus of the new Pennywise’s intensely freaky stare started way back when he was 10-years-old, trying to spook the shite out of his older brother.

Graciously, Skarsgård also displayed said face which is somehow even more terrifying without the makeup. A true gift. Who the hell wants to sleep anyways.

So there you have it, folks. While some merely adopt the pants-shitting stare, Skarsgård was born with it.
