‘The Killing Season’ Flawlessly Inserted Into ‘Breakfast Club’ Is #Auspol At Its Finest

The ABC’s ‘The Killing Season’ aired last month – an epic, sprawling insight into the nightmare nonpareil that engulfed Labor during the truly shambolic Rudd-Gillard-Rudd years. Sarah Ferguson locking horns with Kevin Rudd, Julia Gillard and a cast of former ALP heavyweights made for one of the ABC’s finest, most profound soap operas political thrillers we’ve seen in a good while.

But if you haven’t caught up yet, ‘The Killing Season’ is a slog – it clocks in at over 4 hours in a dense 3-parter. It’s a beast.

If whiling away your Sunday watching a political power couple’s flaws exposed in gloriously gory fashion isn’t on your list of priorities, ‘The Breakfast Clubbing Season’, absolutely flawlessly edited by ABC Insiders editor Huw Parkinson, is probably the second finest thing ABC has given us.

‘The Breakfast Club’ meets ‘The Killing Season’? Kevin Rudd as Judd? Julia Gillard as Claire?

FLAWLESS.
