The ‘Grace & Frankie’ Cast Are Curing Boredom By Doing A Live Table Read Of S7’s First Ep

Grace And Frankie

The cast of Grace and Frankie, otherwise known as your forever faves, are coming together (remotely) this week for a live table read of the premiere episode of season 7. Friendly and not at all depressing reminder: The seventh season will be the show’s final. SOBS.

Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Sam Waterston, Martin Sheen, June Diane Raphael, Brooklyn Decker, Baron Vaughn, and Ethan Embry will appear in the reading, which will stream live on Netflix’s Not A Joke YouTube channel. The live table read will raise funds and awareness for Meals on Wheels, a charity which brings food to isolated seniors.

The cast will read the premiere episode of season 7, titled The Fallout. SPOILERS: At the end of season 6, Grace (Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin) return to their home to find Robert (Sheen) and Sol (Waterston) there, homeless, because Frankie’s Rise Up toilet flooded their home. Robert and Sol can’t afford to fix it at the moment because they, well, trashed their savings. Meanwhile, Grace’s husband Nick (Peter Gallagher) has been arrested for some shady business that he doesn’t seem at all concerned about and Mallory (Decker) just took a job that would make her Brianna’s (Diane Raphael) supervisor. Everything is fine and normal. But the key takeaway here is that it looks like Grace, Frankie, Robert, and Sol are all going to be living in the same house together. I don’t know about you lot, but that is absolutely how I want this show to end… with absolute chaos.

Co-creator Marta Kauffman, also known for Friends, will moderate a live Q&A with the full cast afterwards.

The table read for charity will kick off April 9 at 5pm PT, which is April 10 at 10.00am AEST. You gotta love time zones.

Grace and Frankie season 1 to 6 are streaming on Netflix now. Excuse me while I re-binge the wholesome content.

P.S. If you’re not following the very real Frankie Bergstein on Instagram, you’re missing out.
