The Franco Bros Go Full Wiseau, Post 1st Look At ‘The Disaster Artist’

In what constitutes a decisive victory for James Franco in the ever-escalating ‘Pretty Boy Turned Meta-Commentator’ arms race against Shia Labeouf, the actor and director has posted the first flawless image from the set of The Disaster Artist.

??”THE DISASTER ARTIST: The making of THE ROOM.”?? It has begun!!!!!

For the uninitiated, The Disaster Artist is based on a real-world account of the production of The Room – a film so singularly bad, it’s inspired a legit world-wide cult following

While it’s just begun to sink in that James will be taking on the role of Tommy Wiseau – the auteur/maniac/star and director of The Room originally – the new shot reaffirms how cosmically perfect the role is for everyone involved.

Even better is the fact it’ll be a tag-team effort between James and his lil’ bro Dave, who is playing Greg Sestero – aka, The Room’s second-hand man and the author of the tell-all account The Disaster Artist is based on.

Confused?

Well, here are some more recently released tidbits that make as much sense as playing footy in a tuxedo: Hannibal Burress and Kate Upton were just announced as cast-members, along with legitimate Aussie screen legend Jackie Weaver and Josh Hutcherson, who gets to play the guy who played Denny

Poor, innocent Denny.

The lesson to be learnt here is that if you want to make the best film of all time, make the worst: a piss-taking retelling will eventually get recast with actual Hollywood powerhouses.
