WATCH: James Franco Is Good At Being So, So Bad For ‘The Disaster Artist’

Don’t let the name put you off: The Disaster Artist doesn’t seek to chronicle the so-called worst film ever made, so much as celebrate it.

The ramshackle DIY ethos of The Room, and its equally improbable cult legacy, are of more importance to James Franco and Co. than the 2003 movie itself. The first full trailer for The Disaster Artist is undeniable proof.

Showcasing Franco as auteur Tommy Wiseau and brother Dave Franco as actor Greg Sestero, the rich and undeniably baffling world of The Room’s creation is given the treatment it deserves.

The lil’ clip also features Seth Rogen, Judd Apatow, Alison Brie, and Nathan bloody Fielder. If that assembly of latter-day comedic powerhouses doesn’t convince you to catch this tribute to Wiseau’s baffling masterwork, we’re not sure anything will. Not even the on-screen revival of Denny.

Expect this bad boy to arrive on Australian screens a lil’ later this year.
