We have collectively been hanging out for another glimpse at the extremely ripped bastard son of Robert Baratheon, known to his mates as Gendry, since he rowed out of the series in season three.
Now – if IMDB is to be believed – the babely blacksmith is gonna be back on our screens. Presumably even more ripped, after all that fucken’ rowing.

This certainly seems to confirm that Joe Dempsie was at the season 7 premiere for reasons other than shits and giggles. There’s also Thoros and Beric on that there lineup, which means we might be closer than we thought to seeing that flaming sword in action, but frankly who cares because GENDRY!!! WE MISSED YOU (and your abs) SO MUCH!
Fair warning though – considering how IMDB operates, this might just be overeager fans, especially when you remember that this episode’s entry was originally titled ‘Blood of the Dragon‘, where HBO has it definitively titled ‘Eastwatch’. Misdirection? Accident? WHO TF KNOWS, god this season is incredible, I’m going to have a heart attack before it’s over, mark my words.
