The internet, wonderful though it is, is constantly sullied by the kind of person Urban Dictionary describes as “one who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument,”. Dickheadius Maximus the ancients called them, what we today know as anonymous internet trolls.
In a bid to fight back, the BBC decided to locate, ambush and shame the worst trolls on the internet though investigative documentary series Panorama (seriously, this is like Cheaters for the internet!). Chief among them is dastardly Welshman Darren Burton (screen name Nimrod Severn) who likes to write “rot in piss” on pages dedicated to the recently deceased. You’re a certified dickhead mate.
