Sydney’s Festival of The Vagina & 101 Vagina Are Coming

Need more reasons to celebrate not having a penis? Why not make a day of it, or spread a vagina-themed book across your coffee table to honour vaginas everywhere every day. Both are possible.
Melbourne played host to the first Festival of the Vagina, and on June 29, the second wind will be upon Sydney. Festival of the Vagina is part of the 101 Vagina Book Launch and Exhibition, and will celebrate the creative minds of Sydney- artists, educators, performers, musicians- all in a bid to diminish genitalia shaming and promote Vying For The Vag or something like that.
Festival curator Philip Werner is also the creator of the 101 Vagina project, a coffee-table book comprising of 101 B+W photos of vaginas. All shots are taken front-on from a standing position, alongside some experiential insights and wisdom-sentiments from the vagina owners. Banishing notions of smut, the idea is to embrace the multifaceted, complex, ever-fascinating organ that is the vagina.
