HOO BOY, we’ve just copped the final Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer. Do you know what that means? It means we’re almost at the end of a year’s worth of waiting. Goddamn.
The Rise of Skywalker is the final chapter in the Skywalker saga, bringing to a conclusion the struggle between light and dark AKA Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).
Straight to it.
Okay, here’s what I’m thinking about after one and a half viewings:
- Were those horses?
- We actually – finally – copped a look at Rose Tico
- Lots of Kylo Ren
- That empty throne
- Sobbing at Leia
- C-3PO’s words: “Taking one last look … at my friends”
- Palpatine – also, was that a snippet of Rey meeting Palpatine at the end?
- AND, “Your coming together is your undoing” – wonder who that could be about!!!!
- The “always” at the very end of the trailer
- The movie looks stunning
