Streaming dons Stan have just unveiled their jam-packed line-up for May, featuring a couple of brand-new series tailor-made to kick you in the heart.
Fresh from the US comes the drama Sweetbitter, about a young woman’s foray into life in New York City circa 2006. The trailer didn’t need to tell you it was set in 2006, what with the printed directions and conspicuous lack of smartphones, but hey. Starring Ella Purnell, the show promises a whole bunch of making out in gritty alleyways to the soothing, sexy sounds of… LCD Soundsystem.
Also up for your viewing pleasure: Vida, which tracks a fractured family as they deal with life in Los Angeles. Melissa Barrera and Mishel Prada star.
