Zendaya Will Voice Lola Bunny For Space Jam Sequel, So The Character Is Officially Sexy Again

Zendaya

In perfect timing with Easter, it has been revealed that Zendaya will voice Lola Bunny in the new Space Jam movie. Which should make all the offended neckbeards happy, because Lola Bunny officially has her sex appeal back.

The actress will voice the iconic character in the sequel to Space Jam, Space Jam: A New Legacy, as reported by Entertainment Weekly. I am super happy with this choice, because not only is Zendaya sexy as hell, she’s also a boss bitch.

The new Space Jam movie came under fire after it was revealed that Lola Bunny would no longer be sexy. In fact, the whole debacle became one massive meme.

The old Lola had an unnecessarily curvaceous body, and wore a crop top and lil’ booty shorts. To be fair it was a whole look, but when you think about it, pretty weird to sexualise a cartoon for a kids movie. The reimagined Lola looks more like an actual rabbit, and less like the cover of Zoo Magazine.

“Lola was not politically correct,” Space Jam: A New Legacy director Malcolm D. Lee said about the 1996 film.

“This is a kids’ movie, why is she in a crop top? It just felt unnecessary, but at the same time there’s a long history of that in cartoons.”

D.Lee said he wants to “reflect the authenticity of strong, capable female characters.”

“We reworked a lot of things, not only her look, like making sure she had an appropriate length on her shorts and was feminine without being objectified, but gave her a real voice,” he added.

Yes, we love to see a three dimensional female character. Hollywood, please take notes.

In my opinion, sexy is a vibe, not the clothes you wear. Women that are strong, smart and capable are SEXY. They don’t need to wear a crop top to prove it. Although, one can still look fierce in a crop top if they CHOOSE to wear it.
