OH LOOK: That Sophia Grace Kid From ‘Ellen’ Is A Bhad Bhabie-Esque Rapper Now

Welp, I guess all child stars need to grow up at some point and I’m not saying that Sophia Grace Brownlee was a child star, per se, but she was definitely a viral hit following her stint on The Ellen DeGeneres Show as a wee youngster.

The now 15-year-old British starlet has reinvented herself as a rap singer, of all things, seven years after she was first discovered by Ellen along with her cousin Rosie McClelland.

In the music video for her first rap single, ‘Can’t Sleep’, Brownlee addresses her dramatic change and evolution.

“People saying they want me to be the same as I was before. It annoys me because I’m not that person anymore and they always ask me to go back to how I was, but I’m different and that’s not who I am,” the teenager says at the beginning of the video. “So I want to show people I’m a different person now and I’ve changed, but that’s okay because everyone changes.”

Brownlee and her now 12-year-old cuz were once a regular fixture on Ellen following their 2011 debut.

They even scored their own segment called ‘Tea Time With Sophia Grace and Rosie’ where they’d interview celebs including the likes of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry.

The hyper energy of the two cutie pies even led to a movie deal back in 2014 with a film called Sophia Grace & Rosie’s Royal Adventure which was released on DVD that May.

Suss out the trailer below, if you have absolutely nothing else to do with your afternoon:

Nowadays she’s a lot less Disney Princess and a lot more Bhad Bhabie-adjacent, complete with long ass nails and a wardrobe as befit any normal teenager.

Definitely a far cry from the tea-sipping tutu wearer that she once was.

Is the world ready for Sophia Grace as a swearing, twerking, bird-flipping rapper? Eh, why not.
