Shock Jerk Howard Sattler Threatens Legal Action Over Post-Gillard Sacking

Shock jerk I mean jock, Howard Sattler is threatening Fairfax Media with legal action following his being sacked yesterday after he pursued a line of questioning during an interview with Prime Minister Julia Gillard that can only be described as ‘batshit.’

In case you missed it, firstly keep up; secondly, Sattler repeatedly questioned the sexuality of Gillard’s partner Tim Mathieson based on a series of “myths, rumours, snide jokes and innuendos” sourced from “not me, people,” the ever veracious Internet and unbelievably antiquated notions that one’s trade correlates in any way with one’s sexuality. Sattler was initially stood down indefinitely by Fairfax Media 6PR’s management on Friday morning before it was later announced on air and in an online statement that he had been sacked that afternoon.
Speaking to the media after the announcement, a “staggered” and “flabbergasted” Sattler, who has six months remaining on his two year contract, stated that he believed his sacking to be “unjustified”.
“In my belief it is possibly unlawful what they’ve done.
“I’ll be taking the matter further. I’ll be exercising all my lawful rights to vigorously pursue any and all of my entitlements… She should have known it was coming.” [Emphasis added]
Sattler also told Fairfax’s WAtoday, “I’ve given 28 years of my life to this station. I don’t want a medal or anything for it but I’ve done a lot of good for a lot of people. I’d like to think I could have done more good.”
You’ve done enough, Howard. Enough.
