Ryan McHenry, Creator Of “Ryan Gosling Won’t Eat His Cereal,” Has Died

Sad news from the creative internet community today, with word emerging that Ryan McHenry, the genius behind the much beloved “Ryan Gosling Won’t Eat His Cereal” series of Vine videos, has passed away at the age of 27, following a battle with cancer.

McHenry was among the new breed of popular internet content creators, with his series of Vine videos – in which Ryan Gosling simply refuses to eat his cereal – gaining global recognition and adoration.
His cancer battle had forced him to take time off from his work, though last July he returned after completing a bout with chemotherapy.

Sadly, his cancer returned, and McHenry ultimately succumbed to the wretched disease earlier this morning. Vine’s official account confirmed the grim news.
McHenry remained active with his social media accounts right up until the very end, marking a personal milestone on his Twitter account with typical sardonic humour.

His final Vine – of course, another Gosling – is perhaps one of the best of the bunch, and follows in the wake of recent media interest in the actual Ryan Gosling’s reaction to the videos.

Internet frontline Reddit has sparked a petition to get Ryan Gosling to actually eat a bowl of cereal as a mark of respect for McHenry’s passing.
R.I.P. and thanks for everything, Ryan. 27 is way, way, way too young.
