Yesterday we learned the sad news that Ryan McHenry, the Vine star who created the wildly popular “Ryan Gosling Won’t Eat His Cereal” series of videos, had passed away at the age of 27 following a battle with cancer.
At the height of the series’ popularity, McHenry stated his intentions for the clips to The Verge.
“As a filmmaker, I like to have a conclusion to things. The only conclusion I can see out of this whole thing is to have Ryan Gosling respond to this. Even if it’s just him eating cereal.”
Following a Reddit campaign, Ryan Gosling today paid tribute to the late internet star in the simplest, most touching way he ever could have – he ate his cereal, at long last.
