Earlier this week, Malcolm Turnbull shut the opposition the fuck down in Question Time, when asked repeatedly about his personal wealth and overseas investments, insisting that he works hard and pays his taxes.
“So really, if the Honourable Member wants to go round wearing a sandwich board saying, “Malcolm Turnbull’s got a lot of money,” feel free. I think people know that.”
Things got a bit saucy when we asked @rustyrockets about Aussie politics… #CustardGate #TheProjectTV #auspol

“Why do you put really rich people in charge of your country who want to build a thing called a tax shield?” he began, before things took a turn. To the general bemusement of the panel, he started making analogies about custard and genitalia, saying:
“Also what’s that – he’s got money in the Cayman Island but there’s nothing wrong with it? Having your money in the Cayman Islands is like putting your dick into custard. We all want to do but there’s no rational reason to do it. If your dick’s in a bowl of custard, you’re doing it for a reason.”
At that point, Peter Helliar had to remind the comedian that the show was live, and Brand waved hello to his mum. Brand went on to clarify that he believes economic elites divide communities and leave ordinary people powerless.
