‘The Rock’, Coolest Dad Ever, Just Posted A Super Sweet IWD Message

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson just posted a video with his daughter on Twitter for International Women’s Day and it was awfully sweet. Jasmine, or “The Pebble” as she’s affectionately known as by us internet folk, was rushed to the hospital last Saturday for a medical emergency. Keeping the details private, Johnson took to Instagram to post a video about the experience and how he’d never wish anybody to go through it. Johnson also took the time to thank the LAFD first responders and the medical team at UCLA who comforted and supported his family.

Weekend aside, two-year-old Jasmine seems to be back to peak health as she celebrated IWD with The Rock.

Please watch as Dada Rock tells Jasmine to say, “Girl Power”, and “International Women’s Day” which comes out as “Ah-wah Women’s Day” and try not to smile and feel clucky. It’s impossible, by the way.

Oh, and then Dada Rock tells “his queen” to say, “Daddy is the most handsome, brilliant, sexiest – wait no, that might be inappropriate – man alive, say all that,” to which Jasmine grins at the camera and says, “say all that!” She’s a beauty.

“Girl Power. To every woman out there ’round the world – all ages and races – I proudly stand by your side to honor, protect and respect. Especially the loves of my life at home. Now if I can just get Jazzy to say the daddy part then we cool. #MyAnchors #InternationalWomensDay”

‘The Rock’ was Johnson’s stage name during his time at WWE, a pro-wrestling (staged ofc) television show that previously had a completely male-dominated main roster of acts. But that’s been changing over the past decade, especially this year which saw the first ever women’s Royal Rumble Match that included current and past female wrestlers. WWE Hall Of Famer, Lita entered the ring with #TIME’SUP on her belt. Times be changing.
