‘Riverdale’ Star Lili Reinhart Rinses Magazine For Photoshopping Her Waist

Riverdale star Lili Reinhart has hit out at a magazine which drastically photoshopped an image of her, accusing them of pushing back women’s rights.

In an Instagram story that coincided with International Women’s Day, Reinhart called out Cosmopolitan Phillipines for heavily altering photos of herself and fellow Riverdale star Camila Mendes.

Reinhart started her IG story by noting that it was IWD and commenting on the movement of women’s rights across the globe:

Over the last year, we’ve seen an unprecedented movement for women’s rights, and one thing is clear: our time is now. We are phenomenal and we will make the world a better place for all women. But we still have a long way to go. Our fight is not over. For example:

She then shares the following photos identifying the major, major photoshopping that’s gone down:

She wraps up her story by discussing the impact this kind of beahviour has on women everywhere:

It’s an everyday battle sometimes. And to see our bodies become so distorted in an editing process is the perfect example of the obstacles we have yet to overcome. So we cannot stop fighting. Our battle has only just begun.

We are fucking powerful, beautiful and strong… we aren’t hiding behind photoshop to conform to beauty standards.

It’s so god damn refreshing seeing the next generation of female celebrities fighting back against unwanted photoshopping of their bodies. Kudos to Lili and Camila for not just letting this kind of activity slide by.
