Actor Richard Roxburgh will play former Australian prime minister Bob Hawke in an upcoming season of The Crown, according to the Daily Mail.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Roxburgh will play Hawke in scenes depicting Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s tour of Australia in 1983 that will feature in the 4th season of the Netflix show.

This won’t be the first time Roxburgh has had a go at playing Hawke, having already been cast as the man himself in the 2010 Channel 10 TV movie Hawke.

Roxburgh is an Australian actor whose face you might recognise from the TV show Rake and movies like Moulin Rouge! and Mission Impossible 2, or even 2003’s League of Extraordinary Gentleman, if you’re unlucky enough to have seen it.

Hawke passed away earlier this year at the age of 89, leaving behind a legacy of being one of the few prime ministers this country has ever had that you couldn’t help but like.

Roxburgh’s appearance is still a while away, with the third season set to air in November this year and no date given yet for season four.
