As we mere mortals prepare to enter phase four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the masterminds are prepping the works and by works we mean Avengers: Endgame and beyond.

Endgame is a mere month away – less, actually so it makes sense that Marvel is already gearing up for their future project(s). The latest appears to be The Eternals and according to The Hollywood Reporter, Angelina Jolie is in talks to star in the film.
Jolie’s forthcoming Disney film, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, is due in cinemas later this year.
Again, Marvel’s assembling the big names.
Created by the one and only Jack Kirby, the Eternals are a group of superhuman beings who came to be after the almighty Celestials experimented on humans about five million years ago. Their main enemy are the Deviants – monstrous, unstable folk who are just a tad jealous of the *angel music* Eternals.
As the name suggests, the film will be about the Eternals and their foe and will be directed by Chloé Zhao. She has The Rider and Songs My Brother Taught Me to her name.
There’s very little about the film’s synopsis out there but a source told THR that the movie will include a love story between “Ikaris, a man fuelled by cosmic energy, and Sersi, who relishes moving amongst humans.”
Chuck those names into Google and you might just recognise them.
It is still extremely early days though so in the meantime, there’s Endgame to worry about.
The ginormous film will finally land in cinemas April 24. Its running time? Three hours and two minutes. You know what that means… no drinks.
