Paul Rudd Tries To Kill Paul Rudd In The Trailer For Netflix’s ‘Living With Yourself’

Living With Yourself

Let me just preface this by saying I knew the bare minimum about Netflix’s upcoming series Living With Yourself before I watched its trailer. I thought it was a show about twins. I was very, very wrong.

Greatly adored man Paul Rudd stars as Miles Elliott, a man struggling in life. The bloke kills a fly in the opening seconds of the trailer and tells its corpses: “You’re welcome.” Yep. Anyway, Miles undergoes a novel spa treatment that promises to make him a better person. Instead, he’s replaced by a new and improved version of himself who absolutely smashes it at life. And just like that Miles is suddenly in the fight of his life as he battles himself for his career, his wife Kate (Aisling Bea), and well… himself.

The eight-episode series, told from a heap of different perspectives, was created by Emmy Award-winner Timothy Greenberg (The Daily Show with Jon Stewart), and directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris of Little Miss Sunshine.

Paul Rudd co-stars with Paul Rudd, in case you missed that bit.

Living With Yourself hits Netflix October 18.

I can’t wait to giggle and have an existential crisis about whether or not I want to be a better me. AhaHahhaahAHa.

As for some other upcoming Netflix Originals, keep an eye out for Ryan Murphy‘s new series The Politician, out September 27. This baby tells the story of preppy student Payton Hobart (Ben Platt) who is gunning to be the President of the United States. But in the meantime he has to deal with student politics and endure/navigate/survive the utter political shitshow of Saint Sebastian High School.  It co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton, and Jessica Lange AKA all the reason you need to watch it.

Then there’s El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie which needs no introduction. It comes out October 11.
