Parks And Recreation Renewed For A seventh Season

Time to make a celebratory bacon cake, Parks And Recreation has been renewed for a seventh season.

According to a report today in Deadline, NBC president and programming gatekeeper Robert Greenblatt confirmed the seventh season of the show when pressed by critics at the Television Critics Association panel, initially saying that he was “bullish” on the show’s future before saying something much more definitive and worthy of a waffle party, “Parks & Recreation is going to have a seventh season.”

But it’s not all good news. According to the same report, “NBC entertainment president Jennifer Salke was quick to jump in and note that a renewal for Parks & Recreation does not impact a pickup decision on Community, which NBC brass also like but will evaluate their comedy plans for next season before making a decision.”

Boo!

In related news, NBC has consulted the data (everyone loves Amy Poehler, fact) and inked with your imaginary best friend a new three year deal including the order of a new comedy pilot called Old Soul, starring Orange Is The New Black actress, Natasha Lyonne
