Parking Inspectors Fight Back With Reality TV Show

Parking Inspectors will finally get paid their dues (irony!) with a new reality tv show called The Enforcers a series about the day to day dramas involved with the work of parking officers and council rangers (for those not in NSW or NT, council rangers are street officers employed to police stuff like traffic infringements, stray dogs, etc).

Judging by the kind of reality programs preferred by the general public, such as Border Patrol and the other one about people getting busted in customs, The Enforcers will be a massive hit. Hopefully they will concentrate on the cool parking inspectors/city rangers and not the jerk ones that have control issues. Once I had the pleasure of seeing a ranger help a little old lady across the street with her shopping bags and I very near wept it was so nice.

The show will follow the parking officers and council rangers in their day-to-day jobs and, according to producer Michael Horrocks of Cornerbox EP: “It’s a very human look at the rangers – what they do and what they go through.” Is such a show likely to curb your Parking Inspector-directed rage, though?

The show, that’s currently being filmed, will screen on Channel Nine. Nine’s programming is so bad that it is probably in need of a new ratings cash cow; and is it just us or does Two and a Half Men seem to be on more than ever?
