Actor, comedian, writer, hysterical person, boss-ass legend, beautiful tropical fish Amy Poehler is headed to our humble little country in TWO WEEKS for the Australian premiere of the the new Pixar heart-string puller, Inside Out.
The Golden Globe winner, Upright Citizens Brigade founder, Parks & Recreation lynchpin, and just about our favourite person in the world will be hitting the red carpet on Monday, June 15th at Event Cinemas on George Street in Sydney, along with Inside Out’s director Pete Docter, and producer Joan Rivera.
Poehler voices the character of Joy in the film, which centres around the tiny voices and emotions inside the head of a young girl as they struggle to work together to help her readjust to a cross-country move and a new life in a new city.
The film is scheduled for release on June 19th, and sports a voice cast that features Bill Hader, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling, Diane Lane, Kyle MacLachlan, and Richard Kind alongside Poehler.
But the most important thing to remember here is that AMY FREAKING POEHLER IS COMING TO AUSTRALIA, YOU GUYS.
Nobody panic. Everyone try to relax. If we play this one just right, we can all be her new best friends in a fortnight’s time.
